As of today, Spain treats the coronavirus like the flu, and those infected do not have to be isolated

The Spanish Ministry of Health has decided to treat the covid-19 epidemic, which has been going on for two years, as flu, and will abolish basic epidemiological measures.
According to the decisions of the Commission for Supervision and Public Health Strategy that came into force today, mild or asymptomatic cases of coronavirus are no longer within the mandatory quarantine.
Although the quarantine decision still applies to those working on strategic jobs such as health centers, homes for the elderly and infirm or prisons, employees in all other activities will continue their daily lives even though they have coronavirus.
For people infected with coronavirus who work on the mentioned strategic jobs, the quarantine will last for five days.
In cases where the symptoms are “moderate” or “high” in those who test positive for covid-19, a break at home will be used according to the findings of family doctors, as well as severe flu.
The new decisions completely removed the monitoring of contacts with groups suffering from covid-19.
Convinced that the covid-19 epidemic phase has been overcome, Spanish health experts have announced that from now on, only those who are being treated in hospital and those from vulnerable groups (elderly and chronically ill) will be focused on covid-19.
As of February 10, the obligation to wear masks in the open, which was introduced in the country on December 24, 2021, was abolished.
