Association of system operators: a workshop was held in Neum on the topic "Ten years of implementation of the Regulations on the management of packaging and packaging waste and the Regulations on the management of e-waste"
In the organization of the Association of System Operators in FBiH, on October 25, 2022, a workshop was held in Neum on “Ten years of implementation of the Regulations on the management of packaging and packaging waste”, and the “Regulations on the management of waste of electronic and electronic products” by the key subjects of their implementation: goals , results, challenges and suggestions for overcoming the challenges.
In addition to the hosts – the Association of System Operators in FBiH and the FBiH Chamber of Commerce, the workshop was attended by representatives of the Federal Ministry of Environment and Tourism, the FBiH Environmental Protection Fund, the Federal Administration for Inspection Affairs – Urban and Environmental, and the Market Inspectorate.
Radionicu je, u ime Udruženja, otvorio Mirsad Jašarspahić, predsjednik Privredne/Gospodarske komore Federacije BiH. Bila je ovo prilika da operateri sistema prezentiraju svoja dostignuća za deset godina poslovanja, izazove sa kojima se suočavaju u svakodnevnom radu, te da predlože rješenja za prevazilaženje tih izazova, a sve s ciljem daljeg razvoja uspostavljenih sistema upravljanja ambalažnim otpadom, te otpadom od elektronskih i elektroničkih proizvoda. Na kraju radionice učesnici su usuglasili zaključke koji bi trebali doprinijeti daljem razvoju sistema.
The importance of holding a workshop like this is that for the first time in ten years, the key participants of the recycling system in FBiH had the opportunity to discuss the achievements so far, the challenges they face, and that they jointly determined proposals that will lead to the further development of the established systems. The need to hold workshops in this composition once a year was agreed upon.
Hereby, we would like to thank the representatives of all institutions who expressed their interest in participating in the workshop and contributed to the improvement and development of the established systems.
The Association of System Operators was founded in 2019 within the Chamber of Commerce/Economics of the Federation of BiH, and it consists of the operators of the packaging and packaging waste management systems Ekopak and Eko-život, and the operators of the electronic and electronic waste management systems Zeos and Kim Tec.
