Bosnia and Herzegovina companies at the 11th Volkswagen International Supplier Fair in Germany

The 11th Volkswagen International Supplier Fair (IZB2022) opened under the motto “Connecting the possibilities of the car – intelligent, digitized, autonomous vehicle”, which this year takes place from October 11 to 13 in Wolfsburg, Germany.

The Chamber of Commerce of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina is one of the exhibitors at this fair, and their participation is supported through the “HelpDesk – Business Information Hub” project, which is implemented within the wider EU4BusinessRecovery project, jointly co-financed by the European Union and the Government of the Federal Republic of Germany.

At the stand of the Chamber of Commerce of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bosnia and Herzegovina will be represented by four companies from the metal sector, specializing in the automotive industry, namely: CORE d.o.o. Sarajevo, GS TM Travnik, TMD Group d.o.o. Gradačac and WAGNER Automotiv Gradačac.

This will not only be an excellent opportunity for networking, exchange of information with an overview of the latest achievements and innovations in the automotive industry, but also an excellent opportunity for direct meetings between companies from Bosnia and Herzegovina and FR Germany, as a special area for B2B meetings to which representatives of eminent German associations were invited, such as: BME Bundesverband Materialwirtschaft und Einkauf, AHK Delegation der Deutschen Wirtschaft in Bosnien und Herzegovina, Team VDMA Außenwirtschaft (Verein Deutscher Maschinen und Anlagenbauer), Wirtschaftsverband Stahl und Metallverarbeitung e.V., VDA Verband der Automobilindustrie , VDI Verein Deutscher Ingenieure, Berufsgenossenschaft Holz und Metall.

The focus of this year’s IZB2022 fair is the hot topics of the automotive industry that have reorganized the entire market, putting in the primary focus electromobility, smart services, sustainability, production and industry 4.0, and especially the sustainability of the supply chain, which was disrupted due to numerous world events from the previous period, especially during the Covid-19 pandemic crisis. In addition, IZB2022 will showcase the latest technological developments in the field of automotive mobility, as well as ideas that have yet to be worked on.

In addition, the IZB2022 fair is a kind of opportunity to exchange information and experiences with representatives of original equipment manufacturers, decision makers and experts at Volkswagen’s corporate headquarters in Wolfsburg. In addition to participating in the fair, with the aim of achieving direct cooperation between Bosnian companies and German automotive industry experts, the FBIH Chamber of Commerce provides all its members with an office in the development headquarters of Volkswagen AG in Wolfsburg for free.

We remind you that the FBIH Chamber of Commerce, together with nine companies from the automotive industry, presented themselves at this fair for the first time in 2018, at the 10th International Suppliers’ Fair (IZB2018), which was postponed until this year due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The total value of the project is 13.7 million euros, and it is jointly financed by the European Union (13 million euros) and the Government of the Federal Republic of Germany (0.7 million euros).
