Elektroprivreda BiH announced a call for land acquisition for the construction of solar power plants

Elektroprivreda BiH invited interested owners of real estate – land that can be repurposed for the construction of photovoltaic power plants, for a minimum of 30 years, to submit a letter of intent, and the public invitation is open until December 31, 2023, confirmed Feni from that public company.

The minimum conditions that must be met by the offered real estate – land are: usable area of 25,000 m2 and larger (the usable area will be assessed by EPBiH); and unimpeded access to the location, i.e. traffic and power infrastructure.

Local self-government units (cities and municipalities), as well as legal and natural persons, can apply for the public call.

The projects will be implemented through the establishment of partnership relations with the local community.

JP Elektroprivreda BiH states that the number of letters of interest for the sale/lease or other appropriate way of using real estate – land for the construction of photovoltaic power plants delivered in 2022, speaks in favor of the fact that there is great interest in this public call.

They remind that this is a continuation of activities to find suitable locations for the construction of photovoltaic power plants through a public call, which JP Elektroprivreda BiH has been conducting since 2021, when the first call was published.

As a result of the activities carried out according to that public call, a contract on cooperation and land lease for the construction of FNE Banovići Selo was signed between JP Elektroprivreda BiH and the Municipality of Banovići. The procurement of “Construction of FNE Banovići Selo 8.8 MW” is underway in accordance with the Law on Public Procurement through a turnkey contract.
