Growth of exports from BiH in January by 5.9 percent

Exports of BiH in January amounted to 1.401 billion KM and were 5.9 percent higher compared to the same month last year, while imports amounted to 1.844 billion KM or 7.6 percent more compared to January last year, according to the data of the Agency for Statistics BiH.

The coverage of imports by exports was 76 percent, and the foreign trade deficit was 443 million KM.

Exports to Cefta countries in January amounted to 276 million KM, which is 7.9 percent more compared to the same month in 2022, while imports amounted to 195 million KM and is 6.7 percent higher compared to January last year.

The coverage of imports by exports with CEFTA countries was 141.3 percent.

Exports to EU countries in the first month amounted to 1.024 billion KM, which is 4.2 percent higher than in January last year, while imports amounted to 1.082 billion KM, which is 17.5 percent more than in January 2022.

Coverage of imports by exports with EU countries amounted to 94.6 percent.
