KM 1.3 MILLION SUPPORT TO START-UP COMPANIES IN THE AGRICULTURAL AND FOOD SECTOR


Within the framework of the EU4BusinessRecovery and EU4AGRI-Recovery projects, which are financed by the European Union and the Federal Republic of Germany, a Public Call for grants to support start-up companies in the agri-food sector in Bosnia and Herzegovina was published.
Through this public call, worth 1.3 million KM, the European Union will facilitate the development of entrepreneurial ideas, through a comprehensive package of technical and financial support. Natural persons, independent entrepreneurs, trades and companies that have been registered for less than a year can apply for the public call. As part of this public call, applicants will have access to a specialist multi-day entrepreneurial training program and technical assistance. After participating in the education and technical support of the project, the best-rated business plans will be provided with mentoring support during the first two months of implementation and financial support from 20,000 to 80,000 KM, which will be intended for starting a business through financing the costs of purchasing production machines and other equipment necessary for the start. of business.

The EU4AGRI-Recovery & EU4BusinessRecovery projects aim to modernize the agri-food sector and improve the rural economy by increasing the competitiveness of agricultural production, jobs and services, mitigating the negative economic effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on agri-food companies and rural tourism operators, and ensuring the continuity of their business .
The projects are implemented by the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) in partnership with the Czech Development Agency (for EU4AGRI-Recovery) and Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) (EU4BusinessRecovery) GmbH, the International Labor Organization (ILO) (for EU4BusinessRecovery).
