Measures of the Italian government to enter the territory of Italy – Fight against the spread of the corona virus

Until 15 June 2022, some measures to combat COVID-19 remain in force in Italy, such as the obligation to wear protective masks in certain contexts.
Specifically, until June 15, 2022, it is mandatory to wear protective masks type FFP2 in the following cases:
a) for access to and use of the following means of transport:


1) airplanes performing commercial passenger transport services;
2) ships and ferries used for interregional transport services;
3) trains used in interregional and intercity rail passenger transport;
4) buses used for passenger transport services, with undifferentiated offer, which operate continuously or periodically on a route connecting more than two regions and with pre-determined routes, timetables, frequency and prices;
5) buses used for driver rental services;
6) means of transport used in local or regional public transport services;
7) school transport intended for students of primary, lower and higher schools;

b) at social events open to the public held indoors in theaters, concert halls, cinemas, entertainment and live music venues and other similar venues, as well as for sporting events and competitions held indoors.


Furthermore, it is mandatory for workers, users and visitors of health, social-health and social institutions to wear protective masks.
In any case, it is recommended to wear protective masks in all public enclosed places or places open to the public.
The obligation to wear protective masks does not apply to:
a) children under the age of six; b) persons with pathologies or disabilities who are not compatible with the use of the mask, as well as persons who must communicate with a person with a disability in order to be unable to use it: c) persons engaged in sports.
