Public call for the allocation of grants for the measure of support for the introduction of standards and certification in agricultural and food production – 3rd cycle

The third cycle for applications to the Public call for grants for the measure of support for the introduction of standards and certification in agricultural and food production.

In contrast to the previous public calls for the introduction of standards and certification in agricultural and food production, in this public call associations are acceptable applicants only if the project proposal refers to the introduction of the designation of geographical origin, namely:

Protected Designation of Origin (PDO),
Protected designation of geographical origin (PGI),
Guaranteed traditional specialty (GTS)
The total funds available to support the introduction of quality control standards/systems and certification in agricultural and food production (for all cycles/public calls) amount to KM 1,000,000.00.

Support funds per application can amount from 5,000 KM to 50,000 KM and can only be used to finance eligible costs described in point 2.8.1. (pay attention to the definition of acceptable costs that can be financed from the funds of the Project)

Potential users are required to submit a complete application within one cycle (with all supporting documentation) in order for it to be considered by the application evaluation committee. Applications that were opened in the last cycle and not completed or submitted will not be evaluated by the evaluation committee, nor can the applicant supplement and submit them in the next cycle.

Through this public call, the European Union will support business entities in the agri-food sector to introduce certain standards in their operations or perform certification of their products, services and production processes. The aim of this public call is to strengthen the agricultural and food industry, improve quality, hygiene, traceability and food safety, increase competitiveness and facilitate access to markets.

Who can apply for this public call?

The following will be able to apply for this public call:

• micro, small and medium-sized enterprises engaged in production, processing or production and processing of agricultural products for human consumption,
• trades/entrepreneurs and cooperatives engaged in production, processing or production and processing of agricultural products for human consumption,
• associations that gather exclusively producers/processors of agricultural products for human consumption. (Associations are acceptable applicants only if the project proposal refers to the introduction of the designation of geographical origin (PDO, ZOGP, GTS)).

To support the introduction of standards and certification in agricultural and food production, all projects that exclusively relate to the introduction of standards and certification for processes and/or products intended for human consumption are acceptable.

Deadline for submitting applications

Applications can be submitted via the online platform https://javnipoziv.undp.ba from December 7, 2022, while the deadline is December 30, 2022 until 3:00 p.m. Applications submitted through other channels (mail or email) will not be considered.
