Public invitation for representatives of companies and craftsmen from the field of tourism

The Municipality of Centar Sarajevo in partnership with the Cantonal Public Institution for Protected Natural Areas and the Sarajevo Regional Development Agency (SERDA) has announced a public invitation to small and medium-sized businesses, craftsmen and registered rural households operating in the tourism sector and providing tourist services from the Municipality of Centar Sarajevo to apply for additional education in the field of tourism.

The aforementioned public call was published within the “Nature for Recovery” project as part of the “EU4BusinessRecovery” project co-financed by the European Union and the Government of the Federal Republic of Germany.

This project aims to improve economic activities in the wider area of Skakavac. The project activities are designed to solve the identified problems and difficulties encountered by entities operating in the tourism sector, and will contribute to the development of economic activity and the mitigation of the economic effects caused by the COVID-19 pandemic in the area of Centar municipality, Sarajevo Canton and BiH.

In order to build knowledge and strengthen capacities, trainings will be organized for small and medium-sized enterprises, craftsmen, registered rural households, agricultural producers and citizens’ associations.

The trainings will be held on November 17 and 18, 2022, in the premises of the Nahorevo Local Community (Nahorevo bb).

Applications for the aforementioned training can be submitted via the email address: munevera.hodzic@centar.ba with the reference: “Skakavac Nature for Recovery”, an open call for users of the training. In the text of the e-mail, it is necessary to provide contact information and a description of the activity the candidate is engaged in.

Ten selected users of the training will receive the so-called “Green certificate”, which will enable the tourist promotion of users in the world through web portals, and which guarantee tourists that the user or service provider meets the requirements prescribed by the certificate. For selected users, the use of the certificate in the first year will be financed through the project, and each subsequent year will be paid for by the user.
