Published invitation: Elektroprivreda BiH will purchase land for the construction of photovoltaic power plants

JP Elektroprivreda Bosne i Herzegovina d.d. Sarajevo, in its determination to significantly increase the share of electricity production from renewable sources in the territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina, has announced another call, Akta.ba learns.

This time, I am sending an invitation to interested parties to express their interest in selling/leasing or other suitable way of using real estate – land for the construction of photovoltaic power plants.

The invitation is addressed to local self-government units, again cities and municipalities, interested in leasing or other suitable way of using real estate – construction or land that can be repurposed for the construction of photovoltaic power plants, for a minimum of 25 years.

The projects would be implemented through the establishment of partnership relations with the local community.

The minimum conditions that must be met by the offered real estate – land are a usable area of 100,000 m2 and more (the usable area will be assessed by the EPBiH) and unimpeded access to the location (traffic and power infrastructure).

In addition, the invitation also applies to legal and natural persons who are interested in the sale or lease for a minimum of 25 years of construction or land that can be repurposed for the construction of photovoltaic power plants.

The conditions related to them are the ownership of the interested party, usable area of 50,000 m2 and more, and unimpeded access to the location.

The invitation to interested parties is open until December 31, 2022. Based on the received data and information, the EPBiH will perform an initial assessment, about which the applicants will be informed. The evaluation of received offers will be carried out continuously during the period of validity of the advertisement, successively upon arrival. In the process of the initial evaluation, the EPBiH may, if necessary, send a request for clarification or addition of the letter of intent – application.

For locations/properties – lands that will be assessed as suitable for the construction of photovoltaic power plants and acceptable to EPBiH, a request will be sent to the submitter of the letter of intent – application for the delivery of detailed information.

Let us remind you that in order to continue the already started activities, JP Elektroprivreda Bosnia and Herzegovina published a call for purchases of electricity produced from renewable sources and efficient cogeneration sources at the beginning of October.

Also, in August, there was a public call for the procurement of electricity produced from renewable sources and high-efficiency cogeneration, which was open to all producers, that is, aggregators, whose capacities are connected to the grid in Bosnia and Herzegovina, at any location.

The intention of EPBiH to get involved in the flow of renewable energy sources that it does not own, but part of the reason is certainly the rise in prices on the regional electricity markets.
