Record revenues from indirect taxes last year

Last year, the Administration for Indirect Taxation of Bosnia and Herzegovina collected record revenues from indirect taxes of nine billion and 926 million KM, announced the ITA of BiH.
Revenues collected last year are higher by as much as 1.480 billion KM or 17.53 percent compared to 2021, when they amounted to eight billion and 445 million KM.

“In 2022, the ITA returned 2 billion and 99 million KM to the economy, which is 573 million KM more compared to the same period last year,” the ITA announced.

The announcement further states that the revenues collected in 2022 that went to the state, entities and Brčko District amounted to seven billion and 826 million KM and are higher by as much as 907 million KM compared to the revenues from 2021.

“An amount of 865 million KM has been allocated for the financing of state institutions in 2022. A total of four billion and 300 million KM was allocated to the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, two billion and 372 million KM to the Republika Srpska and 240 million KM to the Brčko District,” the ITA press release states.

In addition to distributed revenues, based on special tolls for the construction of highways and the construction and reconstruction of other roads, the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina received an additional 208 million KM, the Republic of Serbia 137 million KM and the District of Brčko seven million KM.
