Strong jump in the value of electricity exports from Bosnia and Herzegovina

In the first seven months of this year, Bosnia and Herzegovina exported electricity worth 745 million KM, reports BiznisInfo.
This is a big jump of as much as 75 percent compared to the same period last year.

Let’s remind you that this year there was a big increase in electricity prices on international exchanges, as a result of which the value of B&H electricity exports also increased.

By the way, in the period January-July 2022, total exports from Bosnia and Herzegovina amounted to 10 billion and 548 million KM, which is 37.5 percent more than in the same period in 2021.

Imports amounted to 16 billion and 174 million KM, which is 40.2 percent more than in the same period last year.

Coverage of imports by exports amounted to 65.2 percent, while the foreign trade merchandise deficit amounted to 5 billion and 625 million KM.
