In the last seven days in FBiH, Herzegovina-Neretva (79.27), West Herzegovina (63.18) and Posavina Cantons (55.63) have higher incidences than the average.
In the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, 35 people are receiving hospital treatment due to COVID-19, of which two people are on invasive mechanical ventilation. According to the submitted data, of the 27 hospitalized persons with information on vaccination status, 70.4 percent of them were unvaccinated and incompletely vaccinated. In the past 7 days, one death was recorded.
Taking into account the dominance of the Omicron subvariants of the SARS-CoV-2 virus (BA.4 and BA.5), which give a milder clinical picture compared to earlier variants, the slow process and insufficient immunization coverage, the unavailability of data on the performed rapid antigen tests, the Crisis Staff is estimated that the threat to the health of the general population is low to moderate.
