As of today, the unemployed can use public transport exclusively with electronic cards

Starting today, unemployed people will be able to exclusively use electronic cards instead of ID cards for public transport in Sarajevo, announced the company GRAS.

They mentioned that the sale of monthly coupons for February will also begin for workers, unemployed, employees of the MUP, foreign pensioners, spouses of pensioners, invalids, families of martyrs, war invalids and winners of war awards and decorations. When purchasing a coupon, all users are required to bring their identity card for inspection in order to enter the number of the identity card on the coupon.

Primary and secondary school students and regular students were informed that they can top up their electronic cards for February according to the valid price list. Electronic transport cards can be topped up at GRAS sales points: Ćumurija, Otoka, Ilidža, Dobrinja, Vogošća, Nedžarići, Alipašin Most and Hadžići.

Pensioners were informed that the replenishment of electronic cards for one or two months will begin on the third of February and that the replenishment will last until February 10. Electronic cards are topped up at sales points: Ćumurija, Otoka, Ilidža, Dobrinja, Vogošća, Nedžarići, Alipašin Most and Hadžići. Along with the electronic card, it is necessary to bring the last check from the pension.

GRAS reminded unemployed people that from next month they will be able to use only electronic cards instead of cards for transportation. Unemployed persons are obliged to top up electronic cards at one of the points of sale, and with the electronic card it is necessary to bring proof of regular reporting to the Sarajevo Canton Employment Service.

Users of public transport who have electronic cards are obliged to validate their ride every time they enter the vehicle, i.e. to place the card against the validator in the vehicle in order to have a valid ticket, i.e. a paid ride.

Drop-off points in Ćumurija, Otok, Dobrinje and Ilidža will work extended from 7:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on weekdays from February 1 to 10, and from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. from February 13 until the end of the month.
