Invitation to free training of small and medium-sized enterprises from the agri-food sector on the topic: Improving safety and security at work (including COVID-19 measures)

The Chamber of Commerce of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, within the framework of the EU4BusinessRecovery project implemented by the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) with the financial support of the European Union and the Government of the Federal Republic of Germany, invites small and medium-sized enterprises from the agricultural and food sector to free education on the topic of Protection and Safety in work, which will take place on February 28, 2023. year, in the premises of the Chamber of Commerce in Mostar, at the address: Kneza Domagoja 12, 88 000 Mostar.

The central topic of the training is familiarization with the provisions and new obligations of the MSP after the entry into force of the new Law on Safety at Work in the FBiH and accompanying by-laws. The above implies a series of activities for business entities that need to be adequately applied in order to fulfill their obligations in the application of regulations in the field of labor protection in accordance with legal and by-laws.

Registered participants, in addition to the legal framework for protection and safety at work, will have a unique opportunity to learn more about the following topics: Requirements in the implementation of the ISO standard 45001:2018, ISO 45001 in the food industry, general protection measures in the agricultural and food sector, and protection measures during assembly , operation and maintenance of photovoltaic plants on the roofs of commercial buildings in the agricultural and food sector.

In addition, on this occasion, representatives of UNDP will present the Guidelines for the improvement of safety and security at work (including COVID-19 measures) in the agricultural and food sector published as part of the EU4BusinessRecovery project

The realization of the EU4BusinessRecovery project aims to support the modernization of the agricultural and food sector and the improvement of the rural economy. The main goal is to ensure the survival of micro, small and medium enterprises in important economic sectors of Bosnia and Herzegovina in order to reduce the negative effects caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. EU4BusinessRecovery makes an important economic and social contribution in the areas of occupational hygiene and safety, workplace safety, and product innovation and digitalization.

The project is financed by the European Union and the Federal Republic of Germany, and is implemented by the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) in partnership with Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH and the International Labor Organization (ILO).
