Public call for co-financing of energy transition measures for small and medium-sized enterprises from the wood and metal processing industry in Sarajevo Canton

The Sarajevo Regional Development Agency SERDA, together with the Ministry of Economy of Sarajevo Canton and Deutsche Gesellshaft fur Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH, is announcing a Public Call for small and medium-sized enterprises from the wood and metal processing industry in Sarajevo Canton for co-financing of energy transition measures.

Based on the Memorandum of Understanding in the context of the project: “Investment response to COVID-19”, number: 07-02-04-46329/22 dated 21.11.2022. of the year concluded between the Ministry of Economy of the Sarajevo Canton, Deutsche Gesellshaft fur Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH and the Sarajevo Regional Development Agency SERDA d.o.o. Sarajevo, Agreement number: 81289615 dated 16.11.2022. concluded between Deutche Gesellshaft fur Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH and the Sarajevo Regional Development Agency SERDA d.o.o. Sarajevo, and the Agreement on business cooperation on the implementation of the project: “Support to SMEs in the energy transition”, number: 07-04-11-51762/22 dated 30.12.2022. concluded between the Ministry of Economy of Sarajevo Canton and the Sarajevo Regional Development Agency SERDA d.o.o. Sarajevo, Sarajevo Regional Development Agency SERDA d.o.o. Sarajevo announces a public call for co-financing of energy transition measures for small and medium-sized enterprises in the wood and metal processing industry in Sarajevo Canton.

The subject of the public call is the collection of applications for technical and non-refundable financial support for the implementation of energy efficiency measures in the energy transition of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) from the wood and metal processing industry in Sarajevo Canton as part of the project “Development of sustainable tourism practices and energy-efficient business in Bosnia and Herzegovina” implemented by the Sarajevo Regional Development Agency SERDA d.o.o. Sarajevo, and is financed by Deutsche Gesellshaft fur Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH and the Ministry of Economy of Canton Sarajevo.

The project provides technical and financial support in the energy transition of SMEs, consisting of:

– implementation of detailed energy analyses,
– identification of potential measures and projects for the implementation of energy transition measures (with a focus on energy efficiency and technologies of renewable energy sources),
– implementation of the analysis of energy and environmental benefits as well as the impact of identified energy transition measures and projects
– selection of measures/projects for the implementation of energy transition measures based on previous analyzes and audits,
– implementation of selected energy transition measures/projects in SMEs with financial support from the Ministry of Economy of the KS,
– monitoring and supervision of the implementation, and evaluation and verification of the achieved effects after the implementation of the selected energy transition measures/projects in SMEs.
